Here is our favorite pizza dough. You just make it in the bread machine, but you could definitely make it by hand as well.
Cheese and Garlic Pizza Dough
1 1/4 cups warm water
3 to 4 TB extra virgin olive oil
3 1/2 cups bread flour
1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
1 to 2 cloves garlic, minced
3/4 tsp salt
2 tsp instant yeast
Place ingredients in your bread machine and set for dough mode.
BBQ Chicken Pizza
2 cups cooked and shredded chicken
1 1/2 cups BBQ sauce, divided (our favorite is Famous Dave's)
3 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella
1/4 cup thinly sliced red onion
Mix about 1/2 cup BBQ sauce with shredded chicken. Spread remaining sauce over rolled out dough. Sprinkle with 3 cups mozzarella. Spread chicken and onions over cheese and top with remaining mozzarella. Bake at 400 for about 15-20 minutes.
Kati, this is such a great idea. I have always frozen balls of pizza dough, but never thought to make the pizza and then freeze it. Do you have a large freezer? Mine is small, so I can't store very much in it. But I would love to have a big freezer in order to do something like this.
ReplyDeleteKati, I'd love to hear what you have to say about rice in freezer meals.
